When it comes to sales-focused campaigns for your online store, it’s important to know their type and how to implement them. Some of them often require the expertise of a marketer, but others you can try yourself.

Of the sales campaigns that we, the Klain team, have carried out with our customers, here are some that can inspire you. Let’s get started!

  1. PPC Campaigns

Pay-per-click campaigns are the most common sales generation tools, as they are aimed at those who are actively looking for the products you sell through search engines. Their specificity is that of displaying the advertisement regarding your product/service as a paid result, in front of the customer interested in it.

PPC campaigns produce significant results when combined with remarketing campaigns.

  1. Website content marketing campaigns

If you are looking to achieve online sales in the long term, content marketing campaigns are a viable solution. They can be done at the level of your website through blog articles, developing topics of interest for the target audience that is looking for specific details about your product/service.

In many cases, this type of campaign has proven to be much more cost-effective in the long run.

  1. Lead campaigns

In general, they constitute those campaigns through which you offer something for free in exchange for your potential customer’s contact details. This category can include: discount vouchers, online guides, access to webinars, access to online courses or even small gifts/test products dedicated to a limited number of people.

Once you have obtained their data, it is advisable to continue communicating with users and constantly provide them with content via email to keep them close to your brand. Periodically, you can apply different discounts or promotions.

  1. SEO Campaigns

They are similar to content marketing campaigns carried out on your website, the main difference being that they are aimed at external sites that publish content dedicated to your target audience. In general, the goal is to get links and relevant traffic to your site, through articles written on topics of interest to those you target.

Also in this category is the optimization of your site from an SEO point of view. Here we can remember the flow that a user goes through from the first access to an order, the content on the site, the site’s metas or its loading times.

  1. Influencer campaigns

These campaigns are frequently used by big brands due to the awareness they offer and the sales they generate. It’s important to choose the right influencers for your target audience and the products you’re selling, as not all campaigns of this type are guaranteed success.

  1. Thematic campaigns

Thematic campaigns are related to a certain calendar date or a certain period of time, such as: Christmas, Valentine’s Day, March 8th, Easter, Spring Coming, May 1st, Children’s Day, Back-to-school or Black Friday. Thus, they can be carried out both on a specific day and over a longer period of time, depending on their specificity.

  1. Punctual campaigns

Punctual campaigns are those that require a higher dose of creativity, as they often involve multiple types of promotions. They can be adapted to any context and can have a variable duration, from 1-2 days to a few hours.

There are multiple examples: on 11.11.21 all products benefit from an 11% discount, between 18:00 and 24:00 a category of products has free shipping, a gift product is added to a certain order value or once a month shipping is free for all products (free shipping day).

  1. Momentary campaigns

The so-called “momentum campaigns” are related to a popular topic, which can be adapted to your store and which can increase its sales. For example, when SpaceX launched the first spacecraft to the International Space Station, different companies used this event as an attention hook, “launching” in turn different discounts, adapted to the topic in question.

  1. Customer loyalty campaigns

Don’t forget about the clients with whom you have already developed a collaboration! They can be the ones who constantly order from you and who can be turned into ambassadors of your brand, communicating its advantages to other people.

Loyalty campaigns can be based on different benefits, such as: accumulated points, commission-free returns, free shipping, discounts when an annual shopping threshold is reached, gifts and attentions sent in the packages of products already ordered.

  1. CSR Campaigns

CSR campaigns underpin the image of your business and show that your interest is not exclusively in customers (and, implicitly, in profit), but also in society in general. There are numerous examples of such campaigns: 10% of the value of purchases can be donated to a noble cause, different products can be offered free of charge to NGOs or a certain amount of money can be donated directly to various organizations.
