Content creators, like me, need to make engaging and effective texts and articles. They must also be useful and relevant to the user, so that he can enter the site and read them, and then make a conversion, whether it is the purchase of products or the request for services. Whatever content we write, it has a final goal, even if it doesn’t seem like it at first. No website is just made to exist and increase the number of online sites. Today, I’m laying out the last points needed to create effective content. The others have been presented and detailed in Part I and Part II of this article.

  1. Video and Audio

The content we write we can make more attractive by inserting different visual, video and audio materials. They capture our readers’ attention much more easily and urge them to stay on the page longer.

What can we insert in our articles/texts?

  • Infographics
  • Images
  • Graphs/Tables
  • Maps
  • Video

All this helps to make it easier to read and highlights our content among hundreds of other articles written on the same topic. It is also recommended to highlight quotes/statements given by others through different methods: bold, skew (italics) or use the special quote button in the content editor.

  1. Forms

Forms are beneficial from several points of view. First of all, it helps the user to take an action in a few steps (e.g. reservations) or to make contact with us without making an extra effort by opening the email and copying our email address. Secondly, they are useful to collect data (for example: from contact forms) or to invite him to sign up for the newsletter.

These forms must be short, simple and effective. A design that is as attractive as possible helps.

  1. Messages

There are many types of messages that need to be formulated for a website. Among them, 4 types are distinguished:

  • Success messages (Congratulations! You have entered the contest.)
  • Information messages (Your message has been sent. )
  • Warning messages (You are about to access an external link.)
  • Error messages (The page cannot be accessed.)

Even if it is a success message or an error message, it must be written in a way that is in tune with the personality of the site.

  1. Review and edit text

Reviewing the text and editing it is the penultimate step to writing effective content. It is important that our texts are free of grammatical and punctuation mistakes to show that we are professionals. I recommend that the texts be reviewed by other people, acquaintances or content creators, to see if the message conveyed is understood in the way we would like it to be understood and if there are grammatical mistakes.

  1. Testing

Testing a content must be done to see if it works the way we want it to. It can be tested on different target audiences, parallel testing can be done or any other kind of testing we want. But, it is necessary to test a content. And here I am not referring to articles, but especially to presentation texts, sales texts and other texts that we do (for example: newsletter, campaign presentation).
