Facebook has grown at an incredible speed in recent years, and most businesses have created a presentation page through which to communicate with fans, present their services and make a better known name. If you don’t have a Facebook page, you should do it, if your target audience is online, and if you still think it’s not worth it, read our article in which we present 10 reasons to be present on Facebook.
Making a better known name is somehow relative, because it’s not enough just to have a page, post some links or pictures and expect your business to grow. That’s why today I’m going to show you some tricks to improve your Facebook posts. Keep in mind: not all of them work the same for all brands, so testing is needed, and testing again.

Make a plan
You need to take Facebook more seriously. It’s not enough to post just when you remember, the audience is more educated and has kind of caught up with how this whole thing works with social media. It shows if you give great importance and invest in your image, just as it is seen if you don’t show your interest. And many times the fact that you don’t show your interest also results in the fact that you are not visible, so you can expect Facebook to bring money, because you will never see it. To do this: (1) do some research beforehand and see if it’s really worth being present on Facebook. It’s not worth throwing money out the window if your customers don’t access the internet, it’s better to invest that money in offline advertising. (2) Make a plan based on your results. That is, after you have found out what the target group is (demographics, internet usage, time slot, etc.) start with a simple excel in which you write what and how you will post (photos/links/video/status + posting hours) at least for a period of one month. After the first month, plan for a longer period, obviously, depending on the results obtained in the first month. See where else needs to be changed, what works, what doesn’t, analyze everything, only then will you be able to reach those people who interest you.

Long texts have no place in a post
Put yourself in the situation of users: would you read a long text from a Facebook post or would you skip it? You have to understand that people scan and look for the most important information, and if it’s buried in the middle of a long sentence, it’s not even going to be read. Use few words for photo descriptions, videos, and links. Try to capture attention as quickly as possible, which brings us to point 3.

Photos should be engaging
Pictures are worth a thousand words, aren’t they? Look for photos or use your own photos that are attractive and that are consistent with what you have to convey through words. This rule applies both to accommodation units, where good pictures are even necessary, and to online stores for presenting products, travel agencies, etc. If you want to convey that you offer excellent quality and service, forget about phone pictures and hire a professional who knows how to put your products and services in a good light. Keep your phone pictures only for the humanization of the company in front of customers.

Video, photo, text or link?
Video is Facebook’s latest invention , not to mention that they have recently introduced the 360⁰ video viewing function. It is not for nothing that it has become the easiest form of promotion and interaction creation. But, that doesn’t mean that posting videos will increase your likes or sales. The type of post must be correlated with the target group of the business. As I said above, you need to test everything and see what suits your profile.

Facebook allows you to edit… pretty much everything
When you want to post a link, Facebook lets you change the photo, title, and description. Use all these assets to your advantage. Put keywords in the description (where the meta description is automatically taken), put a more attractive photo or rewrite the title. It’s up to you how you want to modify, but also take into account the tips above.
As we said at the beginning, these rules are general and do not apply to all business pages in the same way. It also depends a lot on what you want and want to be present on Facebook. Analyze, test, rewrite, and start over. And if you don’t end it at all, contact us and leave the online communication in our hands.
