Who are we talking to today? You guessed it, with Tudor! He shares with us how his story within the Klain team began, as well as his vision of the new changes in the world of marketing. What is the vision of an Online Marketer, find out below, from Tudor. Enjoy!

  1. Let’s start with the basics. What position do you have within the Klain team and how long have you been with us?
Online Marketer, for too long. ( ) Basically, 5 years+.

  2. How did your adventure with the Klain team begin?
A mutual acquaintance of mine and Vali told me that he had a friend who was looking for a man to “write stuff”. I got in touch with that friend – Vali – and after a period of practice and a “break” (my fault) I was hired.

  3. How do you stay up to date with new trends and technologies in the field?
I read articles about my niche, I follow the courses given by Klain and I survive in this world.

  4. How has your vision of digital marketing evolved over the years and how have you adapted to changes in the industry?
Considering that at the time I got hired I had almost no idea about digital marketing, apart from what each person commonly encounters (online advertisements, posts, etc.), I can say that the vision has evolved quite a bit. We discovered the elements of marketing, punctual strategies and different customer requests. I adapted by practicing every day and actually encountering the changes online.

  5. Tell us about an experience where you worked closely with other departments to successfully implement a campaign.
I’ve probably worked with all the departments in Klain over time, I think one of the most memorable collaborations was for a client’s website (Ikon Idea), in which I collaborated with Dev (Răzvan) and Designer (Sergiu). It was memorable for two reasons: firstly, it was the first time I worked with Sergiu and I didn’t know what to expect (luckily, everything went perfectly, shout-out Sergiu), secondly, the site was quite heavy and complex in terms of theme, but it turned out better than I expected.
  6. How do you approach defining and measuring the success of a marketing campaign? What are your key metrics?
It depends on the type of campaign, its objectives and the customer’s expectations. I would say that if a campaign achieves 70-80% of its objectives, it can be considered a successful one, but the response of the target audience to it is also important.

  7. What’s the most surprising and unexpected thing you’ve learned in your career so far?
That marketing is much more chaotic than I expected.

  8. How do you prioritize and manage your tasks in a dynamic and challenging environment like digital marketing?
After all these years, I think I have a pretty good idea which tasks are priorities. I use experience, the tools used in Klain (e.g. ClickUp) and pen + agenda.

  9. What are your favorite methods to maintain your creativity?
Reading. I’ve been reading more seriously since 2018 and since then I’ve read an average of about 40 books a year (that sounds like praise, but there are some who apparently read 150+, although I still haven’t decided if those people are TMINR or not – context, Tiffany Gomas). I think the genres I prefer also help a lot.

  10. What is the campaign or project you are most proud of and why?
Difficult to answer. As an idea, “Give a website”, but not as an application. In terms of longevity and results, Alfa Software, but not necessarily in terms of potential achieved. In terms of creativity, New York Bagels, at least in terms of Social Media.

  11. What do you think will be the future of digital marketing and what elements will be essential?
I don’t think much will change in the near future (at least in Romania), AI will probably influence and gradually monopolize content generation, but the basics remain. Social Media seems the most volatile, there is always a new platform, a new trend, new types of campaigns, etc.

  12. How do you like to spend time outside of work and how do these activities influence your vision of marketing?
I read, watch movies, sometimes gaming if something comes up that interests me. It’s more escapism, so I don’t know if it has a direct influence on my vision of marketing. It’s fun, though.

  13. What is the tool or thing without which you could not imagine a day of work in your department?
My colleagues, but obviously they are not instruments nor things (at least not all of them ). A simple answer would be the laptop, of course.

  14. Tell a funny memory with Klain!
There are some of the teambuildings, but I don’t know if they can be included. Besides these, right now I only remember two. The first is just before/at the beginning of the pandemic. I had left for England before the pandemic “actually” started, and when I returned to the country I went to the office and waited about 2 hours for people to come, without anyone showing up. I had started to worry. I started texting, calling, and in the end I found out that “during this period we will work from home”. The period lasted 2 years. The second is related to a former colleague, who called coffee (which wasn’t exactly great at the time) “pitch.” For a while we wondered among ourselves if we were “drinking a pitch”. Nobody had any idea what we were referring to in the first phase. Later, the other colleagues found out, and for a while they also borrowed the expression.

  15. If our team were a superhero, what would be our secret superpower?
Mind reading. Sometimes we use it for customers and among ourselves.

  16. How would you like to see our team evolve and grow in the next 16 years?
Diversification of clients, of course increase in turnover/profit, to completely change from a transitional agency/company for employees to one where they can really follow their careers for many years. Ooops, now I saw that the team was written. In relation to the team, I think the last thing applies, basically the people now to stay for a longer time in the company (stability), to section (also) more departments, so that there are people with a richer expertise (and) in certain niches, who can bring different perspectives and contributions.

We are waiting for you next week with another story from the Klain team and with a different vision of it. Keep an eye on us!
