At the Klain agency, every day brings with it a new challenge and an opportunity to learn, and today we are happy to introduce Adelina, our new colleague. With just 3 weeks in the agency, Adelina brought fresh energy and a unique perspective to our ever-changing industry. Let’s get to know it better.
- Let’s start with the basics. What position do you have within the Klain team and how long have you been with us?
Junior Marketing Specialist and I have been with you for only 3 weeks. - How did your adventure with the Klain team begin?
I had known about Klain for a long time, around 2018, from two friends who worked at the agency. I’ve been following the agency’s Facebook page ever since. Although I didn’t finish college in the field of marketing (I finished dental technics at UMF), on the recommendation of a friend who had collaborated with Klain in the past, I applied for this job, and following a recruitment process I was accepted. I think it was one of the happiest days of my life when I found out that I was going to work in a field that I am passionate about, a very exciting field, in continuous development, in which I can evolve and improve my knowledge, together with a nice and well-knit team. - How do you stay up to date with new trends and technologies in the field?
I’m constantly researching, reading articles or watching videos on Youtube, participating in events, social gatherings, studying everything I see, retaining ideas, people, information and anything that is a source of inspiration. I always have my phone with me, where I have Notepad and I write down everything I find interesting or take pictures. I also follow Facebook groups such as: Social Media Romania Community (where very useful information is constantly posted), I read blogs, I follow many influencers on Instagram both in Romania and abroad, celebrities and brands in almost any field. And in this way I find out news from the world of digital marketing and what new trends have appeared. Oh, and I’m watching Klain classes. - How has your vision of digital marketing evolved over the years and how have you adapted to changes in the industry?
10-11 years ago, I started a mini-business with handmade jewelry. I had extremely little knowledge about digital marketing. Only then did I realize that in order to make yourself visible online and be able to sell your products, you need to have a strong presence on social media (so it wasn’t enough just to go to trade fairs and that’s it). Along the way, I realized that digital marketing is a much more complex field than I expected and that there is a lot of work behind it. Being a self-taught person, it helped me a lot, because I learned how the job works ) Over time, I adapted to the changes in this field, especially in the pandemic context that changed everyone’s course, especially professionally. The most important thing is to adapt easily, to learn and to do continuous research so that you are always informed. - Tell us about an experience where you worked closely with other departments to successfully implement a campaign.
I haven’t had the chance to work on campaigns yet. I still have a lot to learn. - How do you approach defining and measuring the success of a marketing campaign? What are your key metrics?
The feedback received from customers is of great importance, and their satisfaction is essential. - What’s the most surprising and unexpected thing you’ve learned in your career so far?
Teamwork and how important it is to connect with the people you work with, to learn from each other and to put your creative mind to work (Great minds think alike!). Another thing I learned is that the digital field is a very complex one, constantly developing, something new always appears, which brings me enormous satisfaction, because I am a person who does not like monotony at all. - How do you prioritize and manage your tasks in a dynamic and challenging environment like digital marketing?
Precisely because it is an environment full of challenges where you constantly learn new things, you have different customers from different fields: today you have a Spanish restaurant, tomorrow you have car rental or photovoltaic panels. This attracted me a lot to this field and that’s why I decided to focus my career on digital marketing. How do I prioritize and manage my tasks? In general, I am a fairly organized person. I start with the ones that are priorities and where I have more work to do, I take into account the deadline, and at the end I take care of the easiest ones. - What are your favorite methods to maintain your creativity?
Reading, continuous learning, research, of course scrolling on Instagram and Tik Tok, going out in nature, walks, exchanging ideas with friends, city breaks in Europe (always when I come back from a city break I come up with new ideas about what outsiders do from a marketing point of view). I get inspired by just about anything. I work best when it’s quiet. - What is the campaign or project you are most proud of and why?
I haven’t had the chance to work on several projects or campaigns within Klain yet, so I can choose one of my favorites, but I’m convinced that there will be along the way. I still have a lot to learn. - What do you think will be the future of digital marketing and what elements will be essential?
Artificial intelligence will continue to play a crucial role. Influencer marketing, UGC and Youtube Shorts. An essential element would be continuous adaptation to changing trends. - How do you like to spend time outside of work and how do these activities influence your vision of marketing?
Going out to different events with friends, concerts, walks, city breaks, going out in nature, movies on Netflix, documentaries, etc. - What is the tool or thing without which you could not imagine a day of work in your department?
The laptop, first of all, then the phone …. Oh and the morning coffee. - Tell a funny memory with Klain!
I’m a big fan of pizza and I often laugh with my friends that pizza follows me, wherever I go. Just when I first came to the office at Klain, I suddenly walked in with the pizza boy. - If our team were a superhero, what would be our secret superpower?
Adapting to any change, mind-reading. - How would you like to see our team evolve and grow in the next 16 years?
Open to new challenges, eager to develop, creativity as much as possible and stability.
We end this incursion into the Klain universe with Adelina, a passionate and enthusiastic junior marketing specialist. In an ever-changing digital landscape, Adelina is a shining example of the adaptability and dedication needed to succeed in marketing. With a team that aims to be a superhero of adapting to change and reading minds, we’re all excited to see how Klain will continue to grow and thrive in the years to come.
